BITEmagazine is a quarterly journal that publishes quirky, edgy fiction and essayistic nonfiction alongside photographs of the pieces' authors. The journal made its print debut in August 2005, when ten thousand copies of it were unleashed upon four neighborhoods in New York City: the East Village, the West Village, the Lower East Side, and Williamsburg. Now online-only for purposes of editorial flexibility and financial responsibility, the magazine offers you its second issue. No. What the hell. The magazine does not offer you anything. We who work at the magazine offer you its second issue. Yes.
This issue has, and all subsequent issues will have, a photographic theme. Our theme this time is "self-portraits." That means every photograph of every author was actually taken by the author. Wowee.
